Introduction
iLovePhotos in a nutshell.
We created iLovePhotos to solve a widespread problem. People have too many photos, and not enough time to look at them.
iLovePhotos is desktop software that uses facial detection to make it effortless to organize, share, and enjoy your photos. Our visual tagging interface makes it super fast to organize all your images. Unlike traditional photo apps, our emphasis is on photo enjoyment. Given thousands of images on your hard drive, ILovePhotos can automatically create personalized slideshows that can be shared with friends, and watched online, on your phone, or on TV.
The kind of slideshow that could take you 30 minutes to make for a digital photo frame or a website widget, iLovePhotos can create and distribute instantly. Additionally, by integrating with your address book, our software makes sharing effortless by automatically uploading pictures of your friends to iLovePhotos.com emailing them a link.

If you already use iPhoto to organize your photos, you probably want to choose "Connect with iPhoto."If you choose to import photos manually, iLovePhotos will ask you to locate your photos on your hard drive. If you choose to use iPhoto, iLovePhotos will import your iPhoto library. iLovePhotos will automatically import new photos you add to iPhoto.
Your photos are safe.
Don't worry! iLovePhotos keeps track of your photos but doesn't move or remove them.
Find the faces in your photos.

Once iLovePhotos imports your photos, it immediately puts its face detection magic to work, identifying the faces of your friends and contacts in each image. (If you have an especially large photo library, this step may take several minutes.) iLovePhotos will display red tag boxes around all the faces it finds.
If iLovePhotos finds a face where there isn't one, just click within the face box (it will turn yellow to show that it's selected) and hit delete. If iLovePhotos missed a face, just double click the photo and mark the faces by clicking on them, then dragging as needed to grow or shrink the tace box.
Click "Photos" to return to the "Photos" view.

Tag your photos.

Now it's time to put names to those faces. Click "Tagger" on the big red switch in the upper left, and only the faces in your photos will be displayed. In the "Tagger" view, you should easily be able to identify individual friends and contacts. Just click a face, then click a tag slot on the right. When you click a blank tag slot, you'll be prompted to enter tag details. Tags are usually people, but technically a tag can be anything. To tag photos more quickly, you can command-click all of the faces of a specific person and drag them in a batch.
